Insurance tech company Trov has announced that it has secured approval in its 38th state – Colorado.
The “on-demand” insurance company – already in business in Australia and the United Kingdom – is preparing for its full launch in the US this year by securing approval across the various states.
In addition to Colorado, the company also revealed in a release that it has recently secured approval from the state regulators of Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, and Vermont.
Trov’s plans for global expansion are also underway, with Canada, Germany, and Japan being eyed as potential markets.
The firm’s on-demand insurance model allows customers to protect just about any personal possession – gadgets, electronics, equipment, fashion, jewelry, and so on – via the company’s proprietary app. Protection can be turned on or off at any time, and any claims submitted are immediately reviewed through an in-app bot, with live chat assistance.
