SCOR has announced the appointment of Olga Chestiperova (pictured above) as senior underwriter in the Alternative Solutions Reinsurance team, with her role effective June 5.
Chestiperova will be based in the Paris office, focusing on structured reinsurance business. Her addition further bolsters a team that has been expanding in recent months. Her role will involve contributing to the team's efforts in structured reinsurance, an area of significant growth for SCOR.
Her responsibilities for this role included treaty reinsurance underwriting, pricing, broker and client relationships, portfolio development and risk management, market studies, and reporting.
From 2004 to 2008, Chestiperova served as a treaty property underwriter for the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the Lloyds Market at Paris Re. She previously held a similar position at AXA RE from 2003 to 2004, covering the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, Germany, Switzerland, and the Lloyds Market.
Her early career also included a role as a financial guaranty reinsurance underwriter at AXA RE Finance from September 2001 to March 2003.
Chestiperova holds an engineer's degree in statistics and economics from ENSAE Paris and has studied fundamental mathematics and economics at École Polytechnique. She also earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and statistics from Saint Petersburg State University.
