CCR Re has announced the appointment of Ludovic Boulanger (pictured above) as a life underwriter, effective January 2025.
Boulanger brings more than 18 years of experience in life actuarial science and life reinsurance, with expertise spanning protection, long-term care, credit insurance, and savings.
Before joining CCR Re, Boulanger held several strategic roles in the reinsurance sector, including as a reinsurance expert at BPCE Assurances from 2019 to 2025. He also served as head of life reserving at PartnerRe, where he developed tailored solutions and managed complex portfolios.
Earlier in his career, he worked at SCOR Global Life as a reserving and valuation actuary, contributing to key life insurance and reinsurance projects.
Boulanger holds advanced degrees in actuarial science and financial markets from institutions including Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and Université Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée.
Reflecting on his new role, Boulanger stated that CCR Re is known for its expertise and client-focused approach.

CCR Re’s leadership highlighted Boulanger’s appointment as part of its continued commitment to delivering specialized solutions to clients in the life reinsurance sector.
In other recent developments, the French reinsurer also appointed Vaibhavi Mehta as director of underwriting for its life division.
Mehta brings over 17 years of experience in reinsurance and consultancy, having held management roles at RGA and AXIS Specialty Limited. Her previous experience includes managing complex portfolios and developing solutions for markets across Asia Pacific and Europe.
Mehta holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in hospital management from the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration in India, and a bachelor of business administration from South Gujarat University, where she was a gold medalist.
