PEMCO Mutual Insurance has named Emil Dammel to the role of director of enterprise quality and risk.
In his new role, Dammel will lead quality assurance initiatives across the enterprise – this will provide the company with insight into the intersection of quality assurance work in different departments, as well as revealing opportunities to improve the customer experience, a release said.
Dammel has been with PEMCO for over three decades, having recently served as claims quality assurance manager. He first joined the company in 1987.
He earned a bachelors’ degree in business and finance from the University of Idaho. Dammel has also completed the University of Washington’s executive development program.
“Emil’s experience, technical expertise, and deep background in claims make him an ideal fit to take an enterprise perspective to quality assurance with a focus on implementing countermeasures ahead of emerging exposures,” commented PEMCO Insurance vice-president of claims, customer service and sales Harris Clarke.
