Everest Insurance and Munich Re Specialty – North America (MRS-NA) have both announced senior leadership appointments that reflect evolving priorities in regional operations and digital distribution partnerships across the US market.
Everest has named Steve Reiss (pictured above left) as US Northeast regional executive for Everest Insurance, where he will be responsible for overseeing performance and service delivery across the Northeast region. Reiss will report to Craig Hanrahan, head of field operations insurance, based in New York.
Reiss brings more than 30 years of experience in underwriting and broking to the role. He joins Everest from AIG, where he served as president of the Northeast Zone, managing broker and client engagement strategies.
Earlier this month, Everest also appointed Joe Fobert as head of US retail casualty and industry practices.
Meanwhile, Munich Re Specialty – North America has appointed Jascha Prosiegel (pictured above right) as head of digital partners.
In this position, Prosiegel will lead efforts to support digital distribution partners, including insurtechs, with access to insurance capacity, product development expertise, and data analytics tools.
The digital partners team works with digital brands to facilitate the creation of technology-driven insurance offerings. Prosiegel reports to Kevin Johnson, head of North American insurance programs for MRS-NA.
Prosiegel has been with Munich Re since 2014, previously serving as an underwriter for special enterprise risks. Most recently, he led North American market efforts related to AI risks through roles at HSB and Munich Re. He holds degrees in mathematics and business from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and is a certified actuary.
Other recent appointments for MRS-NA include the hiring of Vincent Baldo as head of the healthcare business unit within excess and surplus lines, effective March 31.
