AXA XL, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Liberty Mutual and W.R. Berkley Corporation have each announced promotions and hires within their organizations.

AXA XL names new heads of its cyber and technology business

AXA XL has promoted Greg Chambers to oversee its complex cyber risk portfolio and Caitlin Alpern to team lead within the large & complex segment of its cyber & technology business.

Chambers will now lead a portfolio of complex cyber risks, while Alpern will manage high-visibility accounts and contribute to broader portfolio management tasks.

Moran to join BCBSM

Karen Moran (pictured left) will join Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) as executive vice president and president of commercial markets, effective April 7, 2025.

Moran succeeds Ken Dallafior, who is retiring at the end of 2025 after two decades of leadership. She brings extensive experience in healthcare management and insurance services.

Liberty Mutual appoints president of middle market

Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Dieter Korte (pictured right) as president of middle market within global risk solutions North America.

Korte, who has more than 30 years of experience in risk solutions, will focus on helping mid-size companies manage complex risks and navigate a wide range of industry-specific exposures.

New president of Berkley Luxury Group

W.R. Berkley Corporation has named Michael MacMullin as president of Berkley Luxury Group.

With over 25 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry, MacMullin will lead the company’s efforts in providing insurance solutions for the commercial hospitality and premium real estate sectors.

Brown & Riding expands environmental practice leadership

Brown & Riding has announced that Robert Conyers Jr. will join Jeff Hubbard in leading Brown & Riding’s environmental practice.

Conyers, who has been with the company since 2017 and was named a principal in 2023, will work alongside Hubbard to grow the team and implement key initiatives to support clients across the country.

In his new role, Conyers will focus on strengthening the firm’s environmental risk management capabilities.
