Tokio Marine Highland, a property and casualty underwriting agency, has unveiled its latest digital offering, TMH2O, a primary residential flood program designed to streamline the insurance process for agents and offer comprehensive coverage to homeowners. According to a news release, this marks the company’s entry into digital flood solutions.
TMH2O provides agents with a fully integrated, self-service online portal that allows for real-time submission, qualification, quotation, binding, payment collection, and policy issuance. This 24/7 accessibility aims to simplify the often-complex process of securing flood insurance.
“With three decades of experience and deep expertise in administering private flood programs, Tokio Marine Highland has built a reputation as a trusted adviser and industry leading resource for private flood insurance solutions,” said Lauren Savage, president of Tokio Marine Highland’s private flood services division. “TMH2O represents the next evolution of our product offerings to ensure we meet the ever-changing needs of the market and deliver the exceptional customer experience that our agents have come to expect.”
The new program offers benefits and coverages not typically found in traditional National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) or other private flood insurance products. These include additional living expense (ALE) and basement coverage, along with expedited claim processing handled by Precise Adjustments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokio Marine Highland.
TMH2O is available for a wide range of residential properties, including single- and multi-family homes, other structures, condo units, and contents-only renters in 42 states.
Key coverage highlights of the program include building limits up to $1 million, contents limits up to $500,000, and ALE limits up to $50,000. It also offers multiple deductible options ranging from $500 to $25,000. The program is lender-compliant, features no waiting period or coinsurance penalty, and provides replacement cost coverage for both buildings and contents.
