Combined Insurance, a Chubb company, has been recognized as a “Best for Vets” employer by Military Times for the second consecutive year.
To determine the annual “Best for Vets” rankings, Military Times invites companies to fill out a nearly 100-question survey, tests to ensure the accuracy of the answers and evaluates the survey data. The survey assesses a company’s culture, veteran recruiting, veteran policies and accommodation for members of the National Guard and reserves.
“At Combined Insurance, we take pride in hiring out nation’s military service members and their families, because we value their skills, determination and goodwill,” said Bob Wiedower, vice president of sales development and military programs and a Marine Corps veteran. “This ranking affirms our commitment to providing meaningful employment and giving back to those who serve our country.”
Combined Insurance has announced an effort to hire 2,000 more veterans by 2019. The company also gives to military and veteran-focused charities through employee volunteerism and corporate donations.
The firm was also named a Top 5 Military Friendly Employer this year by G.I. Jobs – the seventh consecutive year the company made the top 10 list and its fourth consecutive year in the top five.
