Sam is a Partner in the Construction Division of Gallagher Specialty, based in the City of London and sits within the Owners & Developers team who focus on UK & Irish construction projects.
Sam is a construction insurance broker, providing project owners & developers with bespoke risk transfer solutions along with specialist site and contractual risk management advice.
Sam started his construction insurance career at JLT in 2011 and Joined Gallagher in 2018. Sam has worked with owner / developer clients across various sectors including office, retail, residential, industrial, public sector and education.
A particular area of focus for Sam is sustainable development which includes focusing more on projects that involve structural timber, existing structures and modular, all of which come with increased challenges from a risk and insurance perspective.
Sam regularly speaks at events and conferences discussing the risk and insurance considerations for large and complex projects, with a particular focus on sustainable construction. Sam is a member of Timber Development UK’s Technical Advisory Board and a contributor of the Commercial Timber Guidebook.
