World Travel Protection, part of the Zurich Insurance Group, has appointed Carlos Agudo (pictured) as its new general manager of operations for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Agudo will be based out of the London Command Centre, where he will lead a team of professionals including registered nurses, paramedics, doctors, and security experts.
He brings to his new role more than 25 years of experience in the fields of operations and logistics. His expertise spans several key industries including medical, security, supply chain, and logistics, with a significant focus on regions such as Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. He joins World Travel Protection following his role as chief operations officer at Via Medica International Healthcare, where he was instrumental in leading global operations. Additionally, he has held influential leadership roles at Medilink International and International SOS, where he managed complex operations and developed strategic initiatives across multiple continents.
Speaking about his new position, Agudo shared his enthusiasm.
