OneBefore, a managing general agent (MGA) specialising in consumer insurance, has launched a new product, ‘Travel Well,’ in partnership with Pulse Insurance. This follows the companies’ collaboration last year on the ‘Pulse Globetrotter’ Medical Travel Insurance product.

‘Travel Well’ is Pulse Insurance’s first retail travel offering, designed to provide a range of customisation options for customers. The product allows policyholders to increase the cancellation limit for higher-value trips or opt for a more affordable option that focuses only on emergency medical expenses.

The partnership between OneBefore and Pulse Insurance has strengthened since the launch of the Pulse Globetrotter product, the companies stated. The new offering aims to provide customers with more flexibility in selecting coverage limits and addressing specific needs within the travel insurance market.

Oliver Slaney, operations manager and underwriter at Pulse Insurance, explained that the product aims to fill gaps in traditional travel and health insurance offerings. By working with OneBefore, Pulse Insurance is able to offer a more tailored solution for clients, it stated.

In October last year, OneBefore also introduced Income Interruption, an insurance product designed to protect individuals from loss of income due to illness or accidents. Developed in partnership with digital insurance broker Superscript, Income Interruption targets small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), contractors, and self-employed individuals, offering coverage specifically designed for these groups.

The product allows policyholders to choose the level and duration of coverage based on their needs. Key features include weekly payments during illness, lump-sum payouts for permanent disability or death, and daily benefits for hospitalisation. OneBefore has highlighted that the product includes sickness cover, which is not commonly available in other offerings for this demographic.

These new products are part of OneBefore’s strategy to expand its portfolio and provide innovative insurance solutions for underserved markets in the travel, health, and accident insurance sectors.
