QMetric, the UK insurtech that provides home and motor insurance under the Policy Expert brand, has today revealed the appointment of Sanchit Suri to the role of chief executive officer. Suri will take over from co-founder, Tony Deacon, who has announced his decision to retire.
Since its inception, QMetric has developed a strong industry reputation for its proprietary tech platform and powerful claims capabilities which allow it to offer an end-to-end customer journey - from pricing to claims. The Policy Expert brand is set to hit the milestone of one million live policyholders before the end of 2021.
Taking on the role of CEO, Suri brings 14 years of experience advising (re)insurance and insurtech companies at JP Morgan, where he held several senior roles including as managing director since 2019. He will work alongside co-founder and chief operating officer Adam Powell to help lead the business into the next phase of its growth journey.
Commenting on the news, Suri said he is “extremely honoured and excited” to join the QMetric team and take it into the next phase of its growth journey. He highlighted that the plans the insurtech has in store are very exciting and thanked Deacon for building up “an extraordinary business”. Suri also noted that he greatly looks forward to working with Powell and the rest of the team.
Meanwhile, Powell added: “Over the last ten years QMetric has established itself as one of the UK’s most successful insurtechs. Few other entrants have matched our rapid growth or our positive EBITDA. Sanchit has an extensive and accomplished background that will prove invaluable as we embark on the next chapter of Policy Expert’s journey.”
