Placing Platform Limited (PPL) has appointed Mark Griffith (pictured) as chief information officer.
Effective in January 2024, the appointment will see Griffith assume overall responsibility for PPL’s project delivery and technology platforms.
“I’m delighted to be joining PPL at such an exciting time for them, and for the whole London Market,” the incoming CIO said in an emailed release. “I am also looking forward to joining the great team who work at PPL as we deliver technology and solutions to help consolidate the London Market’s position as the best place in the world to trade insurance.”
Commenting on the hire, PPL chief executive Joe Gordon said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Mark to PPL as our new CIO. His proven track record in delivering placement technology and in understanding and supporting the needs of London Market insurers and brokers will be instrumental as we focus on rapidly evolving and extending our Next Gen platform.”
Griffith, whose credentials span change and technology leadership roles in the London insurance market and in other insurance and financial services firms, is joining PPL from Ebix Europe where he served as delivery director.
