It may only be launching this summer, but ethical MGA Arma Karma is already establishing relationships within the industry.
The company is teaming with Genasys Technologies UK as its software partner ahead of offering renters a new way to protect items with a Netflix style subscription.
“We’re taking a completely different approach and one that we hope will resonate with our target 18- to 34-year-olds who don’t feel that insurers really understand or meet their needs,” said CEO and founder Ben Smyth. “And we’re also taking a different approach when it comes to our partners. We want to work with people who share a similar philosophy and ambition, and we’re confident that in Genasys, we’ve found our long-term technology partner.
“While we’re committed to using their SKi® platform as the back-end for our first phase of products, the Genasys API will allow us to easily plug into any number of partners as we look to enhance the customer journey, maximise our data enrichment strategy and manage our risk as we grow. This was a really important factor in our decision-making process.”
In addition, the MGA has committed to donating a quarter of its commission revenue to charity – it wants to raise £1 million for charities during the next three years.
