What does the insurance marketplace of the 2020’s look like? – that is the question that one of the panel discussions in the upcoming Insurtech Insights Europe conference aims to answer, with the help of innovators looking to reshape the world of insurance.
Taking place at InterContinental London – The O2, on March 15 and 16, the massive in-person event is slated to bring together more than 200 speakers and over 4,000 attendees. The two-day conference will feature nearly 40 panel discussions and almost 20 keynote speeches.
Of the panel discussions, one will examine the so-called “insurance marketplace of the future,” to be moderated by Clements Worldwide president and chief executive Tarun Chopra.
Speakers of the session include By Bits co-founder and chief executive Callum Rimmer (pictured immediately above), who set up pay-by-mile insurance provider By Miles with James Blackham in 2016 prior to the 2020 launch of software-as-a-service offering By Bits.
The latter leverages the group’s proprietary technology and allows other insurers to either integrate the solution into their existing systems or use By Bits as a standalone platform. Together, By Bits and By Miles have insured over 100 million miles.
Also part of the insurance marketplace panel discussion is Anthony Beilin (pictured immediately above), founder and CEO of Lloyd’s coverholder Collective Benefits. The former Aviva global innovation head leads the insurtech, which offers pay-as-you-go insurance and rewards to independent workers.

Completing the trio of speakers is Getsafe chief executive and co-founder Christian Wiens (pictured below), an engineer by education who is now an experienced entrepreneur with a strong technology background. Wiens is keen on expanding the Heidelberg-headquartered digital insurer – which has an insurance license from the German financial regulator – across Europe.
Aside from the London edition, the Insurtech Insights conference is also taking place in New York and Hong Kong later this year. Insurtech Insights Americas is expected to host more than 3,000 attendees, while the Asian leg is poised to see over 2,500 people in attendance.
