Insurance services provider Davies Group is back on the acquisition trail – revealing its latest swoop this morning.
The company has snapped up digital business and consultancy Ember Group Limited, which provides CX consulting, analytics, specialist resourcing and training to large organisations and major brands including across the insurance and financial service sectors. The deal is expected to be completed later this month, subject to regulatory approvals.
“We are excited by the opportunities presented by the Davies acquisition for our clients, the whole Ember team and our future potential together,” said Ember chairman Mike Havard. “There was an immediate sense of alignment and fit with Davies; their client and people focused culture validated Davies as the right partner to support our next phase of growth.”
As part of the move, Ember’s 60-strong team will join Davies’s customer solutions business, which is headed by Mark Grocott. Davies believes this will give the company the chance to broaden the solutions it offers. Overall, the wider group will now boast 1,400 professionals across the UK, Europe, Bermuda and North America.
“Ember has a great track record and incredible reputation for delivering significant value for its clients through deep domain expertise in customer experience, analytics, resourcing and training,” said Davies Group CEO Dan Saulter (pictured). “By adding Ember’s capability to Davies we can become even more valuable to our clients, providing deeper solutions and staying relevant to their evolving needs in service design and delivery. I am excited to be working with Mike, David and the whole team as we take our broader proposition to the market.”
The move is the second deal for Davies in 2018 – it earlier added insurance services and captive management capability through the acquisition of R&Q’s services businesses in January this year. In the past year, Davies has added more than 100 new accounts from existing and new clients.
