Certain services of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will not be available for five days due to the professional body’s transition to a new customer and member relationship system.

According to the CII’s outage announcement, the transition will take place between March 8 and 19, while certain membership and learning services will not be accessible from March 10 to 14. The customer service contact centre will not be available during that time, as well.

“The CII is transitioning to a new customer and member relationship management system in March 2023, as part of our commitment to improving the way we deliver value for our members and learners,” stated the professional body.

“Initially, there will be minimal changes in the way you engage with us through your member dashboard (e.g. MyCII, MyPFS). In the longer term, we aim to further streamline our communications, tailoring relevant CPD programmes and events to help you achieve your career goals.”

Impacted services include Statements of Professional Standing applications and renewals; access to Continuing Professional Development certificates; exam bookings; and coursework assignment submissions.

“We have contacted existing members whose Statements of Professional Standing are due for renewal around the affected period to consider renewing sooner, to avoid interruption in recognition,” added the CII, which also advised those who may be affected to consider booking exams sooner and submit any coursework assignments in good time.

Last November, the CII website suffered downtime due to a server error that was not elaborated on.
