Beefing up its leadership team, Charles Taylor InsureTech (InsureTech) has appointed two practice directors and a portfolio manager.
Here are the new appointments:
- Laurence King - Practice director of general insurance
- Tom Crapper - Practice director of delegated authority (DA)
- Glenda Parry - Portfolio manager of InsureTech’s enterprise process & document management solution Kcenter
Aside from general insurance and DA, InsureTech’s other practice directorates are life, health & pensions; data & analytics; London Market; and Latin America. Thirty-year insurance veteran Parry, who has worked at the likes of
JLT and
QBE, will be part of the London Market practice.
Meanwhile King, with more than three decades of experience in the London and international insurance and reinsurance markets, will build the general insurance practice. He served as management consultant at
Marsh and as operations director at THB and Colemont, and also brings with him broking experience from Willis and Heaths when he joins InsureTech in January.
Crapper, on the other hand, is moving from KPMG where he was a management consultant in the CIO (chief information officer) advisory practice. At InsureTech he will initially be responsible for managing the delivery and provision of DA SATS (submission, access, and transformation services), which is part of the London Market Target Operating Model (TOM). In October the firm was selected as preferred partner to deliver the Lloyd’s TOM DA solution by the London Market Group.
“Insurers and brokers are demanding technology providers who combine a detailed understanding of the intricacies of their markets with a deep knowledge of technology solutions,” commented InsureTech chief executive Jason Sahota. “We launched InsureTech to meet this need and are already winning significant mandates in the UK and international markets.
“Our practice directorates ensure that our teams have comprehensive knowledge of their sectors and can work in close collaboration with our clients to deliver real-world business transformation.”
Sahota said the three hires bring extensive expertise and networks that will serve InsureTech clients well into the coming year.
