Matt McKechnie has left Ageas, where he served as a claims MI (management information) consultant, to come onboard at Willis Towers Watson.

Appointed as a consultant to the claims team within the brokerage giant’s UK property and casualty insurance consulting and technology business, McKechnie brings experience in performance tracking metrics provision and claims data strategy development.

The key arrival also spent years at claims outsourcing provider Innovation Group.

“I am excited to be joining Willis Towers Watson, which has made a decisive move to strengthen its presence and impact across the UK insurance claims market,” noted McKechnie, who is based in London.

“A key attraction of Willis Towers Watson to me is its strong record for solving business problems through its deep understanding of insurance, and innovative technical and disruptive software solutions, and I am looking forward to helping clients with the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Head of claims consulting Tom Helm described McKechnie as “an excellent addition” to the expanding team.

Operating in 35 markets globally, the insurance consulting and technology business at Willis Towers Watson has a workforce of more than 1,200 people.

“We are delighted to have someone of his experience onboard at this exciting stage in developing our claims practice,” commented Helm. “We are confident he will help us deliver innovative and cutting-edge propositions to insurers aiming to differentiate themselves in a highly competitive market by transforming their claims function to provide better customer service at a lower cost.”
