There are an ever-growing number of UK businesses trading in other countries as the world seemingly becomes smaller – and now insurance is attempting to respond.
Zurich has today revealed the launch of its international programmes range for medium-sized businesses – the idea being to help brokers and their clients manage risks simply and effectively. It provides a single point of contact from which to manage risks and allows them to tap into local expertise on everything from regulation, claims and underwriting through to taxation.
“We know from our own research that many of the UK’s smaller and medium sized companies are accidentally becoming multi-national as their customers can access their products and services online from anywhere,” said Hayley Robinson, Zurich UK’s chief underwriting officer.
“We have long been recognised as leaders in the market for our ability to handle complex, multi-national risks for our larger customers and now we are expanding this expertise to medium sized businesses.
“Trying to navigate the different tax and regulatory systems can be a headache. With our global footprint, Zurich is perfectly placed to support businesses of all sizes in over 210 countries. That we can support them quickly and efficiently is key and so we are fully geared up to help with everything from setting up policies simply, right through to acting promptly and being on hand when they need to make a claim wherever necessary.”
The expansion means that Zurich’s ‘My Zurich’ app will be available to an increasing number of customers who will be able to manage their policies online.
