Independent insurance brokerage Erskine Murray has acquired Cheshire’s Offley Insurance Services to boost its presence in the region.

“The premise behind our investment in Offley Insurance is to boost our regional presence throughout the UK and continue to grow through local acquisitions of well-established and quality brokers,” explained Erskine Murray commercial director Alan Wheeler, as quoted by TheBusinessDesk.com.

Erskine Murray chief executive Tom Bartleet described Offley Insurance as a “well-run and highly regarded business in the North West,” according to the report. Concurring with Wheeler, Bartleet said the deal is set to not only significantly boost Erskine Murray’s presence in the region but also extend the broker’s support for existing customers.

“It is therefore an important acquisition for us, as part of our expansion and growth plans over the next three years,” added the CEO, who thinks the Cheshire-based business is a “perfect fit” for Erskine Murray as it continues to invest and look for the right growth opportunities.

Erskine Murray, member of the Willis Towers Watson Networks and Unison, is based in Leicester and employs more than 50 people across the UK. It offers SME and commercial insurance.
