Subject to regulatory approval, the appointment will see the chartered insurer take charge at the firm’s retail and SME business amid ambitious growth plans. Martin began his insurance career in 1987 and currently serves as director of SME and corporate partnerships.
Zurich believes having the seasoned executive onboard will bolster its SME strategy.
“I’m delighted that David is joining us next year,” commented UK chief executive Tulsi Naidu. “He brings an impressive track record and a wealth of experience and drive that match perfectly with our own strategy and ambitions in SME and retail.
“We have seen transformation across our business in the last couple of years, and David will now help us capitalise on this and drive the next phase of our development and growth.”
Martin’s experience also includes time spent at the likes of Aon and Sampo.
