McGill and Partners has announced the launch of its own artificial intelligence agent, making it the first broker in the London market to implement Agentic AI technology through Salesforce’s Agentforce system.

The AI agent is integrated into the firm’s proprietary digital platform, Underscore, which facilitates connections between distribution partners and London market insurers.

McGill and Partners says that the platform is designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs through automation. The addition of an AI agent is also expected to enhance the placement process by reducing friction and accelerating collaboration between brokers and insurers.

Built on Salesforce’s Agentforce platform, the technology is designed to understand context and intent, allowing it to complete tasks in real time. McGill and Partners expects the AI agent to increase the platform’s ability to adapt to different scenarios, support decision-making, and process large datasets more effectively.

The AI agent is expected to assist brokers in managing routine tasks, enabling them to concentrate on strategic discussions and developing customized solutions.

Paul O’Sullivan (pictured above), chief technology officer at Salesforce UKI, said that the company’s use of Agentforce is intended to establish a new standard for client service in the industry.

Outside of its technological developments, the specialty re/insurance broker also recently announced that it has been included in a US$2.2 billion multi-asset continuation fund created by private equity firm Warburg Pincus.

In January, McGill and Partners also expanded its Ireland operations with the appointments of John Barry and Jack Farrell.
