Everest Group has announced the elevation of two key leaders within its reinsurance division, with both taking effect immediately.
Jill Beggs (pictured above, left) has been promoted to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer of the reinsurance division. In her new capacity, Beggs will oversee the division’s global portfolio growth, spanning global treaty, facultative, and specialty reinsurance businesses, in addition to managing Mt. Logan.
Beggs, who returned to Everest in 2021 after initially starting her underwriting career there, had most recently served as head of North America treaty and global specialty reinsurance. Her tenure at Everest followed a significant stint at Munich Re, where she led US treaty and facultative programs across various lines and initiated several innovation projects.
She will continue her reporting duties to Jim Williamson, chief operating officer of Everest Group and head of reinsurance. Williamson commended Beggs for her leadership qualities and her ability to enhance Everest’s standing and operations within the reinsurance market.
“Along with our outstanding leadership team, I look forward to working with Jill in her expanded role as we further strengthen our preferred lead market position and continue to deliver on our strategic objectives,” Williamson said.
In addition, Everest has promoted Jiten Voralia (pictured above, right) to the role of head of North America treaty reinsurance. Voralia will be responsible for guiding the treaty reinsurance business throughout the United States, Bermuda, and Canada, under the supervision of Beggs. He will also maintain leadership over the North America treaty casualty business until his successor is appointed.
Voralia, who came on board at Everest in 2022 as reinsurance head of treaty casualty & surety, brought over two decades of reinsurance experience to his role. Before joining Everest, he held several leadership positions at Swiss Re, including head of US global casualty treaty underwriting.
Juan C. Andrade, president and CEO of Everest, praised both Beggs and Voralia for embodying the company’s culture of collaboration and excellence.
“Their well-deserved promotions are a testament to the strength of Everest’s leadership team and success of our reinsurance business, which continues to deliver vital protection and exceptional value to our stakeholders,” Andrade said.
This round of promotions shortly followed the appointment of Chuck Volker, who has since been named the chairman of global property at Everest Reinsurance.
