Specialty re/insurance broker Consilium has announced the appointment of Lucy Moore (pictured above) as head of technical and operations within its Delegated Risk Solutions division.

Moore brings eight years of experience in delegated underwriting authority (DUA) to her new role. She joins Consilium from Aon, where she served as a DUA client account manager.

Prior to Aon, Moore held positions at Convex as deputy delegated underwriting manager and at The Channel Syndicate as senior DUA analyst. Her career began at JDX Consulting, where she worked as an associate consultant.

In her role at Consilium, Moore will lead efforts to support managing general agent (MGA) clients, leveraging her expertise in complex placements, strong market relationships, and a service-focused approach to enhance strategies for their delegated business.

Toby Gorman, senior partner of Delegated Risk Solutions at Consilium, commented on the hiring and the value it brings to the firm.

“We are excited to have Lucy on board,” Gorman said. “She has a tremendous reputation in the market, and her dynamism and passion for delegated business is a perfect fit. Lucy shares our ambition to build an inspiring center of excellence for delegated business within the Lloyd’s and London markets.”

“It’s a privilege to join Consilium’s Delegated Risk Solutions division. I’m excited to be part of a business with such an entrepreneurial culture and look forward to playing my part in supporting both new and existing clients as we set the benchmark for what’s possible in the delegated market,” Moore said.

Consilium has reported a compound annual growth rate of 39% since 2019 and has experienced a 132% increase in headcount over the last 18 months. The company has also confirmed further recruitment planned for the coming year.
