RSA Insurance has announced the appointment of Linda Deans as senior specialist underwriter for US & international property in its UK specialty lines division.
The UK specialty lines is a segment of Intact’s Global Specialty Lines, which provides solutions for brokers and customers managing complex international risks.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Deans joins RSA from CNA Hardy, where she has served as a property underwriter since 2010. Her extensive background and expertise in the field are expected to contribute significantly to RSA’s operations.
Deans, who will be operating out of London, has been tasked with the expansion of RSA’s US & International wholesale property portfolio. She is set to commence her new role in January, under the leadership of Jonathan Sigwart, the underwriting leader for wholesale international property in UK specialty lines at RSA Insurance.
“We’re really pleased Linda has decided to join RSA and our UK Specialty business. Not only is she experienced and well respected, it’s also a competitive jobs market and getting the best people on board isn’t easy. Linda joining the team will help us to offer an even more comprehensive service to both brokers and clients,” Sigwart said.
In his keynote address during the 2023 Insurance Innovation Summit, RSA CEO Ken Norgrove spoke about the myriad of risks facing the industry as he discussed “reimagining insurance in unprecedented times.”
