QuestGates has added a standalone service to its rapidly growing surveying services division, appointing Jeremy Carpenter BSc, FRICS, FCILA at the helm of the new unit.
The additional offering will specialise in the defence of tree root liability claims arising from subsidence and direct tree root action property damage. Building the unit is Carpenter, who has focused on tree root liability claims for local authorities and commercial entities since 2006. He started his loss adjusting career in 1985 after training as a general practice surveyor.
“The specialist expertise that we have recruited into our surveying services team now enables us to offer a multiple platform of services which add real value to our adjusting operations and which has gained real traction amongst our client base,” said QuestGates head of surveying services Dave Clare. “Tree root liability defence is a very specific and niche expertise, which complements our existing skills and provides our clients with a much needed resource.”
The loss adjustor’s surveying services division now provides multiple standalone services including subsidence claims handling, perils project management, and building claims consultancy support.
“Diversifying into multiple platforms of subsidence-related loss adjusting in this way also affords QuestGates further opportunity to utilise our existing bespoke software that provides complete internal data security and confidentiality to our clients,” commented operations director Greg Laker.
