British smart home insurance provider Neos, which came to life out of co-founder and chief executive Matt Poll’s frustration over supposed limitations in traditional products, has given its proposition a refurbishment.
Rolling out a new range of insurance packages, Neos offers a combination of Wi-Fi-connected technologies such as leak detection and home monitoring. It includes the app-accessible security camera Neos SmartCam, LeakBot, Roost Leak Sensor, and Roost Smart Smoke Alarm Battery. The latter transforms existing smoke alarms into smart alarms via the Neos app while the other Roost device detects piping problems like freezing and humidity. As for LeakBot, it monitors the entire home for seepages and burst pipes round the clock.
“We’re so excited to launch the next generation of our smart home insurance to UK consumers,” commented Poll. “Our latest tech bundles take us a step forward in providing customers with a refreshingly smarter way to look after their home.
“Early detection is at the heart of what we do. Our smart technology helps prevent incidents from happening in the home, meaning our customers spend less time making claims and more time feeling confident that their home is being looked after.”
When Neos was introduced, it promised “a completely new type of product with prevention at its core” supported by smart connected home technology.
