Insurance repairs and property renovations expert INSUREPAIR has moved to a larger office in Edinburgh to accommodate the growing demand for its services.

Double the space of its former headquarters in Abbeyhill, where INSUREPAIR operated for 18 years, the insurance reinstatement contractor’s new base is situated in Comiston Place, Morningside.

The bigger premises will serve as INSUREPAIR’s central hub for senior management and accounts and claims departments while providing space for contract managers and surveyors.

The relocation comes on the heels of the company’s establishment of its first office in Glasgow earlier this year.

“Where we were in Abbeyhill was fine, but it became apparent in recent years that due to our growth, we would have to move to larger premises,” a Project Scotland report quoted INSUREPAIR managing director Richard O’Donnell as saying.

“EH10 is our busiest postcode area, and it made sense to be closer to the customer base so we’re on hand to respond even more quickly in the event of an emergency. We also see a lot of business in central Scotland, so it made perfect sense to be closer to the bypass.”

O’Donnell also highlighted the advantages of the Morningside location, noting: “The Morningside area has a huge amount of tenement-style and traditional build properties which from time to time are susceptible to damage, whether it be from fire, water, storm, impact, and even wear and tear.

“When things go wrong, it can be a very stressful experience for those in the affected property, but now being based in the area, we can be even more responsive which will help reduce the stress factor for people.”

He added that the larger office space offers flexibility for staff who prefer remote work while accommodating those who thrive in an office setting. The location also makes it easier for clients to visit, which O’Donnell believes will further enhance customer service.
