Specialist household broker Highworth Insurance Limited is now part of Aston Lark.
Without disclosing the transaction amount, the Corporate Chartered Insurance Broker said it has completed its swoop for the Dorset-based enterprise. With a workforce of 40 people led by directors Peter Leppington and Toby Green, Highworth specialises in non-standard and mid-net worth household risks.
“We are excited by our acquisition of Highworth and the opportunity to work closely with Peter, Toby, and all of their team going forward,” commented group chief executive Peter Blanc, who believes the acquired business will complement Aston Lark’s existing private client division.
“We also see an opportunity to learn from the digital experience of the Highworth team while we support their plans to continue their rapid growth of recent years.”
For Green and Leppington, meanwhile, completing the deal is “great news” for both the company and its employees.
“It was a privilege to work with the late Andrew and Jo Marchington and then their daughters to help grow the business and continue their legacy,” the two said in a joint statement.
“Joining the Aston Lark group will provide us with an opportunity to build even further on the achievements of recent years. Our staff have been critical to the success of Highworth and we are pleased that Aston Lark will support us on this next stage of our business growth.”
