Managing general agent Commercial Express has introduced a new leisure & park home product, offering a broader range of coverage options and enhanced flexibility to brokers and leisure homeowners.

The offering is underwritten by SCOR, Canopius, and Ascot Group’s Syndicate 1414 at Lloyd’s. It consists of three schemes, expanding risk appetite to address the specific needs of a wider array of leisure property owners.

The schemes cater to owners of static caravans, park homes, glamping pods, shepherd huts, log cabins, chalets, and lodges used as holiday homes or rentals on registered caravan sites. Additionally, the product covers caravans used as permanent residences.

Accidental damage is included as standard, while policyholders can choose between market value or new-for-old valuation methods for their properties. There is also no age limit on leisure homes, enabling coverage for a broader range of properties.

Additional optional covers include legal expenses, accidental damage by guests, malicious damage by guests, pedal cycles, and sports equipment.

Meanwhile, to enhance customer service and streamline the claims process, all claims under the product will be managed by Woodgate & Clark.

Duncan Pritchard (pictured), managing director of Commercial Express, remarked: “This product launch is a significant step towards reinventing and improving our leisure & park home offering.

“By partnering with SCOR, Canopius, and Ascot, we have brought together their expertise and reputation to provide our brokers with greater choice and a much wider risk appetite. This combined with our experienced claims team at Woodgate & Clark will ensure exceptional customer service and a seamless claims process.”

Earlier this year, the MGA reported being on track in achieving its goal of generating £50 million in gross written premium (GWP) by 2025.

“As we chart our course towards achieving our £50 million GWP target by 2025, our focus on providing innovative solutions across all product lines remains paramount,” Pritchard said in May.
