Part of the insurer’s retail intermediary home strategy, the decision relates to policies with a start or renewal date on or after September 1, 2023. According to AXA, the products will no longer be available to sell and will not show on its panel for broking partners. Similarly, renewal invites will not be offered.
In a message to brokers, AXA said: “You’ll start to receive renewal decline letters for policies with renewal dates on or after the 1st September. We have a range of other products which are suitable for your customers… So, if you feel one is right for them, and we’re able to provide you with this product, then please follow your standard process when quoting under the new cover.
“Our AXA products are full of great features and benefits, so you may be able to continue to offer cover to your customers – we’ll more than likely have another personal lines product that will be suitable for them.”
The insurer, which did not elaborate further, also told intermediaries: “In the rare event that you can’t obtain alternative insurance for your customers currently on AXA First and AXA Residential Let, then please contact us directly and we’ll try to accommodate the business directly.”
Brokers who have questions are advised to get in touch via [email protected] or through 0330 024 6884.
Meanwhile the insurance products that will continue to be provided include AXA Extra, AXA Advanced, and AXA Buy to Let.
