As part of the extension of its long-term partnership with energy and home services company British Gas, AXA Partners is relaunching its Windows, Locks, Roof, and Pest Insurance product – with additional plans to develop more insurance products through the partnership.

The relaunched product has been designed to give British Gas customers a convenient way to repair and replace their broken windows, locks, and roofs, as well as deal with the removal or treatment of pest infestations.

A company release said that the relaunch of the insurance product adds further value to British Gas’s customer proposition, while forming a key part of AXA Partners’ investment in digital transformation. The product will be sold directly to British Gas customers through a new e-commerce tool developed by AXA Partners.

Through the e-commerce platform, AXA Partners will manage the complete end-to-end digital sales of the product for British Gas customers, as well as the claims handling. The insurer also stated that it is working closely with British Gas to “identify further opportunities to enhance the insurance product suite and customer offering.”

“Our long-term partnership with British Gas continues to grow and we are excited to announce the relaunch of the Windows, Locks, Roof, and Pest product,” said AXA Partners, UK & Ireland transformation & commercial strategy director Lindsay Foster. “This product provides peace of mind should the security of the home be compromised or a nasty infestation of pests makes its way indoors; all of which are common emergencies and can be costly and stressful to address.”

Foster added that for AXA Partners, investment in new technology such as the e-commerce platform is a “top priority” for the insurer.

“The relaunch of this product via a new e-commerce solution, allows us to continue our digital transformation journey, whilst ensuring that we’re making the lives of customers as easy as possible. We very much look forward to seeing what else can be achieved during our partnership with British Gas,” the director said.
