Speculation may be swirling about the future of talent amid the combination of Aon and Willis Towers Watson, but for now we know of one Willis Towers Watson leader who is making a switch.
David Purdy – who became executive director of Willis Towers Watson’s financial and executive risks practice in 2007 after coming onboard in 1987 – is moving to London-based EC3 Brokers with immediate effect as the Lloyd’s broker creates an international financial and professional lines division.
Tapped to serve as divisional director, Purdy will be under the leadership of EC3 Brokers head of broking James Murphy and will be in charge of growing the business while servicing clients in both the wholesale and retail space.
“Current market conditions, while difficult and challenging, provide significant opportunities for brokers to present innovative solutions to their clients,” said Purdy, who brings over three decades of industry experience to the role.
“I welcome this challenge and look forward to helping EC3 Brokers in growing the international and financial lines division into a successful business.”
Meanwhile chief executive Danny Driscoll commented: “David is a veteran of the insurance industry and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to EC3 Brokers. He is a valuable addition to the team, and I look forward to witnessing his continued success.”
