Mosaic has announced the launch of underwriting professional liability coverage through its London office.
The specialty insurer now offers a tailored portfolio of professional indemnity and D&O coverage for a wide range of service providers, including lawyers, specialist engineers in target industries (oil and gas, marine, aviation), actuaries, P&I club managers, security consultants, underwriting agents and insurance brokers.
“These are challenging times for professional firms, in a landscape rife with new systemic risks and uncertainty driven by globalisation and changing regulatory environments,” said Mosaic co-CEO Mark Wheeler when making the announcement.
Mosaic’s London-based professional liability team includes:
• Anna Jay, SVP, head of professional liability, who oversees the division and its global portfolio. She has almost 20 years’ experience working across the specialty sector, with a core focus on professional liability.
• Danny Clack, SVP, deputy active underwriter, who supports all business lines through Mosaic’s Syndicate 1609, with a focus on professional liability. He is a near 20-year veteran of Lloyd’s of London and the commercial insurance market.
• Francesca Harland, AVP, underwriter, professional liability, who focuses on developing Mosaic’s US and international professional liability portfolio. She has a strong track record in miscellaneous and emerging risks, working with clients to develop niche products in this area.
• Pete Young, AVP, underwriter, professional liability, who has spent more than a decade at Lloyd’s. At Mosaic, he is responsible for underwriting the professional liability portfolio and developing relationships with brokers and clients..
