Kova Professions, a professional indemnity (PI) managing general agent that came to life earlier this year, has hired another senior underwriter.
Joining fellow senior underwriter Keeley Patten is Sarah Morrison (pictured), whose extensive PI experience will significantly bolster Kova’s underwriting capabilities and risk management processes. She is making the switch from RSA Group, where she served as a senior PI underwriter.
Commenting on the new arrival, chief executive Kate Albert noted: “Sarah is a proven force in the Lloyd’s and London insurance market with almost 15 years of experience. She shares the Kova ethos of prioritising the delivery of exceptional service to brokers and will be a transformative addition to our already strong team.
“Her appointment will allow Kova to continue to expand its network and further build our position in the professional indemnity market.”
Under Albert’s leadership and with the backing of Mission Underwriters UK & Europe, Kova provides bespoke PI insurance solutions to mid-market small- and medium-sized enterprises across a range of sectors. The MGA was introduced to the market in March.
“The drive behind establishing Kova was to deliver an improved service to brokers,” Albert said at the time. “There has been a mounting level of frustration in the market at poor outcomes and unwillingness to actively underwrite in the PI space. Our small, experienced team is empowered to help to address that by making decisions efficiently and without hassle.”
In June, Kova announced the appointments of Patten and PI head Celeste Newson.
