IQUW has announced that it has named Sam Waltier (pictured) as an underwriter for its professional lines team.
As professional lines underwriter, Waltier will report to IQUW senior underwriter, financial institutions/professional lines Tristram Prior.
Waltier joins IQUW from financial and professional lines insurance provider Volante, where he also served as a professional lines underwriter. He also held financial institutions underwriting positions with Antares Underwriting Services.
“We have developed our professional lines proposition over the last 12-months and am delighted to enhance our offering to the market with the appointment of Sam,” said Tristram Prior. “We are determined to provide our brokers with the fast, accurate decisions and strengthening the team with the appointment of Sam will help us to deliver on this commitment.”

This appointment comes a couple of weeks after IQUW named Kevin Fisher as its new president. Fisher is the former UK and global specialities chair at Guy Carpenter, and has over four decades of experience under his belt.
