DWF has reported its financial results for the year ending 30 April 2024. The firm's net revenue increased by 14%, rising from £380 million to £435 million, with all three divisions contributing to the growth.
Key highlights for the group include a 24% increase in net revenue for Insurance Services, partly attributed to the successful integration of Whitelaw Twining in Canada.
Commercial services achieved an 8% organic growth, which the company highlighted despite challenging market conditions, while legal operations also saw an 8% increase.
DWF also secured over 30 legal panel appointments or reappointments, including with prominent clients such as BT, Tesco, Aspen Insurance, and Cadent Gas Limited. The firm's Net Promoter Score, which measures client satisfaction and likelihood of recommendation, improved from +62 to +67.
The firm promoted 33 colleagues to partner or higher levels within its partnership structure, with over 220 promotions across the business in January. Additionally, DWF made 25 lateral hires at the partner level.
Sir Nigel Knowles (pictured above), CEO of DWF, commented on the results, stating that the firm's integrated legal management approach has been key to its success, particularly in a challenging economic environment.
DWF has also initiated the next phase of its digital transformation programme, including a significant investment in the rollout of Microsoft's AI tool, Copilot, to all global colleagues.
Knowles expressed optimism about the group's prospects for the new financial year, anticipating further expansion and corporate activity in 2024.
Back in June, DWF also bolstered its international claims management capabilities with the acquisition of Proclaim.
Headquartered in Melbourne, with an additional office in Sydney, Proclaim employs a team of 60 professionals and was founded by Jon Broome in 1999.
“We are excited for the next phase of our development in partnering with a global leader in claims and legal services and what that can offer for existing and prospective clients,” Broome said.
