CNA Hardy has announced the appointment of Ariel Berman (pictured above) to the role of vice president, head of specialty (UK & Continental Europe).
With over two decades of experience in the insurance sector, Berman has held senior positions at AIG and, most recently, at Marsh, where he served as the head of the financial institutions division – FINPRO.
CNA Hardy’s specialty division encompasses the management liability, financial institutions, professional indemnity, and healthcare lines of business. Based in London, Berman will report to Jalil Ur Rehman, president and CEO of CNA Hardy, and Steve Goldman, senior vice president, underwriting (financial lines, healthcare, and affinity) at CNA.
“Ariel brings strong leadership, deep technical expertise as well as considerable multi-jurisdictional knowledge and the broader experience of working in both underwriting and broking. Ariel will be a great asset to our company, and I am delighted to welcome him to CNA Hardy,” Rehman said.
Elsewhere for the insurance group, CNA also recently announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2023.
