Todd Insurance, an independent insurance provider based in Northern Ireland, has announced a partnership with mental health charity AWARE NI.
The collaboration comes as Todd Insurance celebrates its 90th anniversary and is described as a way to give back to the community that has supported the family-run business over the years.
“At Todd Insurance, we view our 90th year as a remarkable milestone, and we wanted to mark it by contributing meaningfully to the community,” managing director Mathew Todd said in a news release.
“Choosing a charity partner was a meticulous process, and AWARE NI stood out for its exceptional work in the mental health domain. The alignment of our values and goals with AWARE NI's mission is truly inspiring.”
AWARE NI was one of more than 40 organisations that expressed interest in partnering with Todd Insurance. Staff members were actively involved in reviewing responses received from the company’s open call to charities.
Mental health emerged as a collective priority during the selection process, with AWARE NI’s impactful initiatives reflecting the team’s commitment to supporting wellbeing.
As part of the partnership, Todd insurance has set a goal of raising £20,000 through different staff-driven efforts.
“Commencing this September, our team will embark on a ‘90 KM for 90 Years’ challenge, aiming to collectively walk 90 kilometres while raising £90 each,” said Todd. “We firmly believe that this fundraiser not only helps us contribute to a vital cause but also underscores the importance of physical activity for mental wellbeing.”
AWARE NI corporate partnership officer Natasha MacKay also commented on the collaboration, highlighting the impact of teaming up with Todd Insurance.
“Collaborating with Todd Insurance amplifies our mission to encourage open discussions about mental health and provide much-needed support to those affected,” she said. “Together, we are committed to making a lasting difference and reaching more individuals in need.”
AWARE NI has also partnered with Northern Ireland broker AbbeyAutoline, which recently raised £4,000 for the charity.
