Howden, the global insurance intermediary group, is supporting one of West Wales' most notable events, with the firm revealed as a deluxe sponsor of The Big Beer Festival.

The Big Beer Festival is an annual event featuring food, beverages, and live music organised by Milford Haven Round Table.

Considered one of Pembrokeshire’s leading beer events, the festival will occur on May 25, at Milford Waterfront. It will offer a variety of beverages, street food, and live entertainment with headline act 4th Street, while also raising funds for local charities.

Milford Haven Round Table, the UK’s largest Round Table, consists of 30 active members who contribute to their local community. The funds raised support local charities, groups, and events, including the town’s annual carnival, fireworks display, and Santa’s tour.

As a sponsor, Howden will donate £500 to the event. The company explained that it has been growing its presence in South Wales, launching offices in Cardiff and Swansea earlier this year, led by regional managing director Gary Stevens.

Stevens commented on the sponsorship, expressing pleasure in returning to The Big Beer Festival and supporting Milford Haven Round Table. He noted the event's significance as a memorable day for the bank holiday weekend.

“After two successful office openings this year, I hope to further cement our position as a leader in the south and west Wales commercial broking sector, and in doing so, support our local community and groups wherever we can,” Stevens said.

In other recent developments, Howden has introduced a new cyber insurance platform aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises, simplifying the process of obtaining coverage.

Supported by three global carriers, this cyber insurance platform offers up to US$6 million in capacity. Targeted at businesses with revenues up to US$250 million, the platform allows users to purchase cyber insurance in just four steps, eliminating the need for lengthy questionnaires or complex jargon.
