Ansvar and ACEVO (Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations) have announced a five-year strategic partnership aimed at providing tailored insurance solutions for non-profit organisations in the UK.
Ansvar, a charity and faith insurance expert, will be supporting ACEVO’s various activities including its national conference which brings together over 300 CEOs from local and national charities, as well as ACEVO’s women in leadership meetings. In turn, ACEVO will support Ansvar employees who wish to become charity trustees.
Jane Ide, chief executive of ACEVO, said in a release: “I’m delighted that ACEVO and Ansvar have launched this exciting new collaboration. This brings mutual benefits to our members and Ansvar employees over a number of years. Establishing shared priorities and goals, and alignment in how to enable leaders to make the biggest possible difference, are at the heart of our partnership.”
Meanwhile, Ansvar managing director Sarah Cox shared her enthusiasm, stating: “I’m a long admirer of ACEVO and absolutely thrilled to be working together to use our collective skills and resources to enable and support the organisations who seek to be of service to others. Already well aligned in our values and goals, together, we are in a great position to make a really significant contribution to the charity sector.”
The partnership is particularly timely given the challenges facing the non-profit sector. Leaders and organisations in the space are being tested like never before, according to ACEVO business development head Pete Johnson, who believes the private and non-profit sectors need to work together for a better society.
Established over 60 years ago, Ansvar is a not-for-profit, charity, and faith insurance expert and part of the Benefact Group, a charity-owned international family of financial services companies that give all available profits to charity and good causes.
ACEVO, meanwhile, is a UK-based membership organisation that represents and supports charity and social enterprise leaders. With a network of over 1,750 members, it helps drive positive social change through leadership development, advocacy, and networking.
