Chartered insurance broker Talbot Jones Ltd has announced its acquisition of March Insurance Services, a commercial insurance broker based in Pwllheli, North Wales. In a Press release, Talbot Jones Ltd noted that the deal, which started in March 2021, is in line with the business’s growth plans, to focus on providing high-quality employment opportunities and its ambition of building public trust in insurance.
“Having grown up in Powys, and following the successful acquisition of a brokerage in the Rhondda in 2019, we are really excited to be consolidating our presence in Wales,” said Talbot Jones Ltd’s MD, Richard Talbot-Jones. “With a team member launching a North West hub in the Lakes this month to better serve our high number of North West of England clients, we are looking forward to building more relationships in a wider area, working alongside Amanda [Williams, March Insurance MD] who shares our values of community, excellence and integrity.”
Williams said she is looking forward to joining the Talbot Jones team and highlighted that its Corporate Chartered status with the CII is a testament to its excellent service levels. She also noted that the firm’s relationship with the insurance broking network TEn Insurance Services would help provide her clients with options from an increased insurer pool, enabling a greater competitive edge.
The purchase will also allow Talbot Jones Ltd to further expand its geographical footprint, significantly grow its book of business and have a wider positive impact.
