Seventeen Group has announced that it has acquired CCRS Brokers Limited.
According to Seventeen Group, the deal completed on August 15, 2022.
Established in 2008 by owner Neil Campbell, CCRS currently employs 30 staff in Glasgow. The brokerage handles gross written premium of £13.5 million, serving a wide variety of clients within Scotland and the wider UK market. It was noted that CCRS has a “strong focus” in the public sector and vehicle dismantling markets.
“We have known Neil Campbell and the CCRS business for a number of years and admired the highly professional approach they take with clients,” said Seventeen Group chief executive Paul Anscombe. “Seventeen Group already has a long-standing presence in Scotland, with our Dumfries office employing 50 staff, but the acquisition of CCRS provides us with a home in Glasgow and a strong foundation to build on.”
Anscombe also said that as a true independent broker, Seventeen Group recognises in CCRS “further opportunities for clients and staff who value continuity and quality service.” The chief executive also spoke highly of CCRS’s platform, The Digital Broker, which is used to manage client data while supporting client-facing staff.
“It identifies relevant risks which clients ought to be considering and provides a trail of such communication,” Anscombe said of The Digital Tool.
“After building CCRS organically into a top 100 broker in the UK, we required new investment to grow the Digital Broker platform and develop the business into the largest independent broker in Scotland,” said CCRS owner Neil Campbell. “Having spoken to several private equity businesses and other brokers, it became clear Seventeen Group had the same ambitions to grow into a best-in-class, digitally enabled independent insurance broker. I’m very excited about what we will achieve together over the next few years.”
