The Clear Group has acquired Sheffield-based Peter Hoare & Company (Insurance Brokers) Limited for an undisclosed sum.
Lifting the lid on the expansion, Clear group chief executive Mike Edgeley said in a release: “We have known the Peter Hoare team for many years and are delighted that this successful business led by an exceptional management team has joined Clear at this exciting time.
“Both our businesses are culturally aligned, sharing the same cultural values of doing the right thing for our staff and clients. As a result, Peter Hoare is a strong performing business which has a great track record of delivering organic growth year on year.”
Headed by managing director Heather Clewes, the 32-strong broker will be integral in Clear’s capability-building in the North of England, according to the wider intermediary. Peter Hoare was set up in 1964 and specialises in commercial, motor, and liability risks.
“This is the right time for us to join forces with the Clear Group as we look to enhance our client proposition,” commented Clewes. “The Clear Group also offers our staff the opportunity to flourish by being part of a fast-growing insurance business which has such an exciting future.”
Clear’s recent acquisitions include Miles Archer in Kent and Bluestone Insurance Services in Cirencester.
