Essex-based Claims Settlement Agencies Ltd (CSA) has been snapped up by Gallagher Bassett International Ltd (GB) for an undisclosed sum.
In a release, the risk management services subsidiary of Illinois-headquartered Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) said CSA managing director Scott Beesley and his team will continue to operate from the third-party claims administrator’s premises in Hadleigh. The roster will report to Gallagher Bassett UK chief executive Simon Pemberton (pictured).
“All of us at CSA are looking forward to joining the GB family,” commented Beesley. “This acquisition allows us to strengthen the business while creating opportunities to offer a broader range of services to the benefit of our existing and future clients.”
Working primarily with London market underwriters and insurers in the UK, the acquired business specialises in handling claims arising from corporate and personal travel, accident & health, and personal accident insurance. It came to life in 1990 and offers medical screening and policy fulfilment services as well.
Pemberton noted: “This is an exciting acquisition for Gallagher Bassett, further developing our services for current and future clients. We are delighted to welcome Scott and the team into Gallagher Bassett’s growing global team.”
Also happy to have the line-up onboard is AJG chair, president, and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr.
“CSA immediately increases the range of services and expertise GB can offer its new and existing clients,” stated the group boss, “and provides GB opportunities to cross-sell other products and services to underwriters and insurers they haven’t previously worked with.”
Manned by a global workforce of more than 5,100 people, Gallagher Bassett provides claims management, medical cost containment, and analytical and consultative services.
