The Clear Group, which recently bought half of Thomond Underwriting, has acquired brokers Mayor Broking and MJB Finningley for an undisclosed sum.
In an emailed release, Clear said Mayor Broking managing director Nigel Mayor will become part of the group’s team in Amersham while MJB Finningley managing director Mike Blackham will be working closely with the ProAktive business in Doncaster.
Areas the two purchased brokers specialise in include property owners, fleet, commercial motor, commercial combined, and high net worth properties.
“Nigel and Mike are great additions to the Clear Group, and their businesses will certainly enhance and grow our capabilities and help us deliver on our ambitious plans,” group chief executive Mike Edgeley said.
“Clear is keen to attract brokers of different sizes including smaller brokers who want to be part of our exciting journey.”
