Glasgow-based CCRS Brokers and Broker Scotland, which were both acquired by James Hallam last August, have now taken on the latter’s branding.
To promote its expanded business in Scotland, James Hallam recently held a reception (pictured above) at The Haberdashery, hosting more than 100 people who had the opportunity to hear from Scotland regional director Neil Campbell and UK head of corporate John Dougherty about the company’s plans for the Scottish market.
Colleagues from the wider group, including James Hallam distribution director Roy Standish, were also present during the townhall event, at which it was highlighted that the team in Scotland plans to grow across a range of corporate and specialist lines of business.
“We are very proud of our growth in Scotland,” group chief executive Paul Anscombe said in an emailed release. “It is a great country to invest in and offers opportunity for growth. We have been building our team quietly over the years and now feel that we have a strong story to tell as an expanding true independent.
“In addition to creating local opportunities for staff, a number of colleagues in Glasgow and Dumfries have taken on wider responsibilities within James Hallam, and this has strengthened the business overall.”
James Hallam, which originally established its Scottish presence in 2009, said further acquisition and recruitment opportunities are being considered for the year ahead.
