In his recent interview with Insurance Business, group CEO of Aston Lark Peter Blanc highlighted how the group’s acquisition by Howden will not slow down its acquisitive pipeline and today, hot on the heels of last week’s purchase of Absolute Products, Aston Lark has acquired Bainbridge Collins.
Bainbridge Collins, which was established over 30 years ago in Birmingham, is an independent insurance broker specialising in the mid-corporate sector and led by MD and founder Cyril Gallagher. It offers insurance brokers services alongside a comprehensive risk management service, offering quality advice and guidance on health & safety and loss prevention measures.
Commenting on the deal, Peter Blanc said Aston Lark was delighted to welcome Gallagher and his team to the group. This is another great addition to Aston Lark’s West Midlands operations, he said, and enhances its mid-corporate capability in the region.
“There is an excellent cultural fit,” he added, “and we are confident the business can continue to prosper and grow, benefitting from our group scale and breadth of resources and expertise.”
Meanwhile, Gallagher noted that the company had established an “enviable reputation” over the years as a firm dedicated to providing exemplary service while maintaining a personal touch. This, in turn, he said, had led to the business achieving very strong client retention levels, among a loyal and long-standing customer base.
“However, as a company you must always have one eye to the future and this acquisition brings a wealth of opportunities not only for our clients, but for my wonderful long-standing staff too,” Gallagher said. “We now look forward to further enhancing our overall value proposition through being part of the wider Aston Lark Group.”
