Aston Lark has today announced its acquisition of Kidderminster-based Plester Group. The group, which was established in 1964, has a dedicated team of 19 and a history of continued growth within the commercial and personal insurance market.
Commenting on the deal, group CEO of Aston Lark Peter Blanc said the business was delighted to welcome Justin Griffiths, MD of Plester Group, and his team to Aston Lark. He noted that the deal would strengthen the group’s presence in the Midlands and that, from early discussions with Griffiths, it was clear that there was a strong cultural fit between the businesses.
Blanc added: “I have great confidence that Aston Lark will prove to be a great home for all of the Plester team and their clients.”
Meanwhile, Griffiths said he and the team were excited to be joining Aston Lark as they believe the group’s ethos of providing excellent customer service mirrors their own. There’s also a strong alignment between the business’s offerings, he said, which include contracting and motor trade.
“We believe that, with the additional resources of the Aston Lark Group, there will be great benefit to our existing clients and huge potential for continued growth,” he said, “while still maintaining the personal service on which we have built the business to this point.”
